How many players are in table tennis

In table tennis, the number of players in a game can vary depending on the format:

Singles: In a singles match, there are 2 players competing against each other. Each player uses their own paddle to hit the ball back and forth across the table, trying to score points by making the ball land on the opponent's side of the table in a way that the opponent cannot return it.

Doubles: A doubles match features 4 players, with 2 players on each team. The players on each team take turns hitting the ball, and they need to coordinate their movements and strategies to outplay the opposing team.

So, table tennis can have either 2 players (in singles) or 4 players (in doubles).
