The U.S. Table Tennis Team is the table tennis team that represents the United States of America in international tournaments, and is managed by the United States Table Tennis Association, with men's and women's teams. The following is an introduction to the U.S. Table Tennis Team:
History
Early successes: The 1936 World Table Tennis Championships saw the first international medals for the U.S. team, with Ruth Hughes Ahrens winning the gold medal in the women's singles, she also won the bronze medal in the women's doubles with Jessie Purvis, and Robert Barratt and James McClure won the men's doubles gold for the United States.
In 1937, the U.S. continued to excel at the World Table Tennis Championships, with Ruth Hughes Ahrens defending her women's singles gold, Robert Barratt and James McClure going on to win the men's doubles title, Abe Berenbaum and Emily Fowler winning the mixed doubles bronze, and the U.S. winning gold in both the men's and women's team competitions at the tournament.
Decline in Strength: After the 1950s, the U.S. table tennis team began to decline in strength, winning fewer medals at international tournaments, with medals in 1951, 1952, 1956, 1959, the 2021 World Series, and the 1995 FIVB World Cup. In the history of the Olympics, the U.S. team has never reached the podium.

Team Honors
